Academic

The academic need programs will consist of homework help, academic skills building and fcat tutoring. Each of the following sessions will be approximately 30 minutes in length however this could vary depending upon the individual needs of the children.

Activities

Activites will consist of media and technology activities, life skills training, organized play and games, and arts & crafts. These types of activities will not only expose the child to a wider variety of experience than he or she would normally encounter, but it will encourage the child to express themself in ways other than the traditional written or spoken word. It has also been shown that success in these areas often has the effect of building student self-confidence and facilitating improvement in the academic areas. The activites programs will take up the last hour of the afternoon and will be organized so that everyone will enjoy each activity several times a week.
